Robert Pattinson waxwork unveiled at Madame Tussauds

The Twilight star Robert Pattinson, 23, is the latest attraction at Madame Tussauds Waxworks, London. His figure is recreated with his trademark messy hairstyle and his rugged dress style with an open-collared shirt and skinny trousers at a cost of £150,000. A matching figure of Pattinson was planned at Madame Tussauds's New York museum too. The figure of the British heartthrob was unveiled in March to coincide with the release of his latest film ‘Remember Me’ directed by Allen Coulter.

Fans can now join Pattinson in his own special VIP area, where he is in good company with a host of other top celebrities including Jonny Depp, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and fashion icons like Kate Moss. A Madame Tussauds PR Manager Liz Edwards said, "R-Pattz is one of the hottest celebs on the planet. We are delighted to be able to give them the chance to cozy up with their idol here at Madame Tussauds and judging by the reactions of the first to meet him here this morning he is set to top our 'most kissed list of celebrities' very quickly!"

The Twilight sequel ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ (2009) has been a hugely successful film, which cost just $50 million to make, but it made gross box office revenue of $707 million. The film features the love affair between the 17-year-old schoolgirl heroine Bella Swan (Kirsten Stewart) and a 109-year-old vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). A rival lover, who is a wolf, is played by Taylor Lautner. The film’s success has been attributed to the charms of Pattinson to a great extent. He was relatively unknown as recently as a year ago, but now he is mobbed by female fans wherever he goes.
