Elvis Presley in Girls! Girls! Girls!

The 1962 musical comedy film ‘Girls! Girls! Girls!’, directed by Norman Taurog and produced by Hal B. Wallis and starring Elvis Presley, Stella Stevens and Laurel Goodwin in the main roles features Presley as a penniless fisherman who loves his life on the sea and dreams of owning his own boat. The film was shot on location in Hawaii. The film was nominated for Golden Globes (for Best Motion Picture - Musical at the 1963 ceremony) but lost to the winner The Music Man.

Elvis Presley became a film star in 1956, and appeared in a total of 33 feature films, out of which ‘Girls! Girls! Girls!’ was the sixth top-grossing Presley film. He admired actors such as James Dean and Marlon Brando.
