Megumi: Japanese actress and gravure idol


Japanese actress, singer and gravure idol Megumi Furuya (Furuya Megumi), popular by her stage name MEGUMI was born on September 25, 1981 in Matsue, Shimane. She was raised in Kurashiki, Okayama, and was educated at the all-girls school Kurashiki Suisho Senior High School, from where she dropped out.

Megumi is affiliated with Suns Entertainment. She has appeared in a number of variety shows on Japanese TV, notably for Nippon TV, Setonaikai Broadcasting Corporation, Fuji TV, Kansai Telecasting Corporation, and TV Asahi. Her Radio performances were on FM-FUJI, and on Nippon Broadcasting System, in addition to being the much-sought-after star of commercials such as for Asahi Breweries (2007), Japan Racing Association (2006), Nestle Japan Nescafe Santa Marta, Okayama Prefecture police (Improvement of traffic manners campaign), Rohto Pharmaceutical Co, Sapporo Brewery. Her films include Hero (Sakurako K┼Źno) and SS (Girako). Besides she has produced numerous photo albums, which were all very popular.

Japanese gravure idol Minase Yashiro


Japanese gravure idol, actress and TV personality Minase Yashiro (Yashiro Minase) was born on February 3, 1985 in Gifu Prefecture, Japan. She started her career in the Japanese glamour world by debuting as a bikini model (gravure idol) in 2006, when her first DVD Minase Minakuru was released! Between February 2006 (age 21) and mid-2009 she has appeared in 10 solo DVDs that became very popular.

Minase Yashiro has also appeared on several Japanese TV programs including Sports eye ESPN on SkyPerfecTV, Idol Star on ENTA371, Pao Pao on BS NHK, Sabadol on TV Tokyo and Ranking Kingdom from TBS. She was also featured more recently on the TBS show Beach Angels filmed in Okinawa, and was credited for appearing on magazines such as Weekly Young Jump, Flash Exciting, Monthly Gon and Weekly Asahi Geino.

In 2007 Yashiro was selected as one of the three winners of the Sanyo Image Girl "Marin-chan o Sagase" (translated as ‘Search for Marine-chan’) contest. Yashiro made her film debut in Noboru Iguchi's gore-fest The Machine Girl in 2008 in the lead role of Ami. In 2010, Yashiro appeared in Kamen Rider Double Forever: A to Z/The Gaia Memories of Fate.
